Hooks Lake, Washington County

Located at the confluence of the Tombigbee and Alabama rivers, the Hooks Lake conservation easement spans three counties: Washington, Clarke, and Baldwin. This expansive property is a haven for diverse wildlife, including game animals, waterfowl, migratory songbirds, and aquatic reptiles like alligator snapping turtles.

Completed in three phases, this easement protects over 10,000 acres of both swamp and upland forests, making it the largest conservation easement in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta.
